Adam Greenwood

Head of Skills Partnerships,

Adam Greenwood is Head of Skills Partnerships at the University of Hull. Since 2015, Adam has led the University of Hull’s approach to Higher and Degree Apprenticeships and the wider skills agenda. Benefitting from a background across HE, FE, a Regional Development Agency and the ESFA’s predecessor, the Learning and Skills Council, Adam has a wide range of experience in skills programmes at all levels. The University now has seven approved Higher or Degree Apprenticeship programmes, with more planned, and apprentices from organisations of all sizes.

  • Assessing the challenge of meeting the expectations and demands of employers in the development and validation of new apprenticeship courses
  • Developing an institution-wide ‘work based learning framework’ to foster a more flexible and agile course design process for new higher and degree apprenticeships
  • Designing core modules on to provide a framework to guide the development of new apprenticeship schemes in collaboration with employers
  • Considering the support required to ensure that a ‘work based learning framework’ is used to its potential
  • Sharing lessons and guidance in being responsive to employers needs when developing an apprenticeship curriculum
